

HUNT IN ZIMBABWE
Climate
Zimbabwe’s climate is warm and moderate, with a cool, dry winter season from May to August and a hot summer season from September to April. Rainfall occurs mainly between November and March, with peak hunting conditions found in the cooler, drier months.
Hunting Areas
Safari hunting is conducted in vast, unfenced concessions such as the Zambezi Valley, Matetsi, and Hwange regions. These wild areas are known for elephant, buffalo, lion, leopard, and a wide variety of plains game. Camps are comfortable rustic lodges with full staff and catering.

Hunting Season
The hunting season runs from March to November.

Health & Safety
All camps carry medical kits and have radio or satellite communication. Malaria prophylaxis is strongly recommended. Travel documents and valuables should be kept secure.

Travel & Accommodation
Guests typically arrive through, Victoria Falls, with onward travel by road to camp. Rustic lodging, with meals, non-alcoholic beverages, and daily laundry included.

Customs, Visas & Insurance
Passports must be valid for six months beyond departure. Many visitors can obtain visas upon arrival. Comprehensive travel and medical evacuation insurance are recommended.

Documentation
Special hunting permits and CITES documentation are required for certain species; these are arranged prior to the safari.
Currency & Spending Money
The US Dollar is the primary currency. Cash is strongly recommended. PH and staff gratuities are customary.

Firearms & Ammunition
A firearm import permit is required. We assist with the application process. Large calibers (375 and up) are necessary for dangerous game.

Trophy Handling
Trophies are skinned, salted, and delivered to professional taxidermists or shipping agents. Clients should provide detailed instructions and ensure CITES permits are in order.
